Practice makes perfect and ace your Chinese
Be it speaking or writing, students will need to do practices during and after lessons. Assignments will be marked and feedback will be given to students to improve. With determination and a positive learning attitude, students are able to improve within a few months to a year of lessons. Over more than 10 years of teaching experience, Teacher Seow had managed to help students to score A grades for different areas of assessment such as oral, listening, composition, comprehension, project work etc. Under Teacher Seow's tutelage, it's worth noting that there are students scored A grade in Chinese and Higher Chinese for National exams (PSLE, N, O, A levels) every year!

Skills-based and exams-focused
There are students who wish to improve within the shortest time frame. However, there are no shortcuts in mastering a language for school or National exams. We can take a strategy-based approach, but there's still a need for frequent and constant practices in order to master the language skills and do well in exams. Under Teacher Seow's guidance, many students are able to achieve their desired grades. More importantly, the goal (i.e. what grade to achieve) must be realistic in order to be able to reach.

Achieve distinction with confidence
For students with failed grades before tuition starts, they have to put in effort to learn and do homework diligently. Coupled with the right learning strategies, failed grades can be improved to a pass grade. Patience is a key to success too. While some students can achieve a pass within a few months, others may need a slightly longer duration. With Teacher Seow's motivation, students are able to gain confidence overtime and achieve their desired results, be it C, B or A grades!

Chinese: A living language and everyday language
The joy of learning and learning for life is what MOE advocates in recent years. Chinese language shouldn't be seen as just a subject for school examination. Rather, it should be treated as part of our lives, an everyday language. Besides motivating and preparing students for exams, Teacher Seow also inculcate moral values and life skills as part of the Chinese language curriculum. Parents can and should also play a part to create a conducive home environment for their children to use Chinese frequently. As a highly experienced teacher, Teacher Seow believes that every student can learn and achieve their desired results. It's worth noting that Teacher Seow frequently receives positive feedback from parents and students are motivated to do their best in mastering Chinese.
