For Chinese Tuition (Online Tuition/Physical Tuition)
1. What is Teacher Seow's teaching style?
Answer: Teacher Seow's teaching style is always exams-focused and results-oriented. As the saying goes "practice makes perfect", students are expected to do practices for improvement. As every child's learning needs are different, he will tailor his lessons to suit the learning needs of every student in tandem with what he/she is learning in school. Lessons are catered for progressive long-term learning and not for quick-fix. We will do some bite-sized practices in class, while those time-consuming ones will do as homework. Feedback will be given for further improvement. Homework will be given to reinforce learning as well. More importantly, students must be willing to put in effort, do the assigned work and attend tuition lessons regularly.
2. How fast can my child improve?
Answer: In general, students do show improvement and able to achieve their desired grade in a few months to a year, while a few may take more than a year. There are no shortcuts to master a language. Learning Chinese is like gardening. As students are juggling with other different subjects as well, students need to take time to learn and cultivate the necessary language skills. Hence, how fast your child can improve depends on how much he/she can learn during class and do for homework. As long as your child is determined to strive for the best with a positive learning attitude, Teacher Seow is confident in helping him/her to achieve his/her desired results.
3. What's the recommended duration and frequency for lessons for students who need more improvement?
The recommended duration is 2hrs each lesson per week. For students who need more help, especially for students who don't come from Chinese speaking background, having lessons twice a week is recommended.
4. Does Teacher Seow conduct tuition online?
Answer: Yes. Online lessons are conducted via Zoom. Students will do their work on Google docs. It's as effective as physical tuition.
5. Does Teacher Seow teach at the Primary level?
Answer: Yes, but currently we don't have classes scheduled for Primary school students.
6. How much is the tuition fee?
Answer: Do contact us for a quote.
7. Does Teacher Seow provide his own materials?
Answer: Yes. Worksheets are given out at no additional charges. However, if there's a need to purchase any assessment books and/or ten-year series, these commercial items will be payable by you.
8. What are the mode/frequency of payment for tuition fees?
Answer: Fees can be paid using Paynow, Paylah or internet bank transfer. You can either pay every lesson, or at the end of each month.
If you engage Teacher Seow through certified tuition agencies, they will invoice you and you will pay the commission directly to them. For the rest of the fees, do arrange with Teacher Seow for payment.
9. I'm keen to engage Teacher Seow as my tutor for my child. How can I do so?

If Teacher Seow is recommended by certified tuition agencies, you may liaise with them accordingly. It's worth noting that Teacher Seow is highly recommended by many certified tuition agencies.
